Welcome to Stars' Model School

The Stars‘ Model Matriculation School is established by Rev. Fr. Mark Stephen SJ and Mr. Jeyadas .M. The foundation stone was laid by Rev. Fr. Bernhard Ehlen on 23 February 2007. It was blessed by the Bishop of Tuticorin, Rt. Rev. Ivon Ambroise, and inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Bernhard Ehlen on 2 August 2008. The Stars‘ Model Matriculation School is a Co-educational English Medium School, affiliated to the Government of Tamil Nadu. It is located at Tiruchendur, Thoothukudi Dist. The school is well-equipped with all modern facilities and infrastructure needed for setting very high educational standards and for the overall development of students. The aim of this school is to bring up young men and women, with a keen sense of discipline, responsibility, initiative, self-reliance, integrity and loyalty. The individual child is the core of the whole program. We are grateful to the people of Germany who contributed the total fund for our school. We thank Rev. Fr. Bernard Ehlen SJ, who along with his personal friends, Ärzte für die Dritte Welt (Doctors for Developing Countries) and Jessuiten Mission, Frankfurt, provided the funds for our school.

“Children are God‘s own images and in them we see God”. Basically a new born child is as impeccable as a pure white cloth. Its mind is a Tabula rasa, a blank slate without built-in mental content and the knowledge comes from experience and perception of the society around the child. Thus it is appropriate to say as well as accept, with purity of heart
